When Watson's wife ( is ) visiting some friends he stayed with Sherlock Holmes . One day a young man ( comes ) to visit and ( tells ) them about his uncle who moved to America and ( makes ) a lot of money . He ( fights ) with the South in the Civil War and they ( lose ) .
Years later he ( gets ) a letter . When he opened it five orange pips ( fall ) out . He ( drinks ) more than before and ( burns ) all his old papers . Soon he was ( find ) dead in the river . The police ( say ) he killed himself , but the man ( knows ) he was afraid to die . He ( thinks ) it was murder .
Sherlock Holmes noticed the letters KKK on the letter . They ( are ) on the other letter too . The man ( leaves ) . The next day Watson and Holmes ( read ) in the paper that he had been murdered . Sherlock Holmes ( knows ) who ( sends ) the pips and ( takes ) five orange pips and ( writes ) a note . But the note never ( gets ) to the murderer . The ship he ( is ) on ( sinks ) in a storm .
