Claudette Colvin , la niña de 15 años que ( inspirar ) a desafiar las leyes segregacionistas en Estados Unidos y que ( quedar ) en el olvido

Quizás muchos recuerden a Rosa Parks , la mujer que ( desafiar ) las leyes segregacionistas en Estados Unidos al negarse a ceder su asiento del autobús a una persona blanca . Pero ella no ( ser ) la primera en rebelarse .
En marzo de 1955 , nueve meses antes , una niña de 15 años llamada Claudette Colvin ( hacer ) exactamente lo mismo .
El 2 de marzo de 1955 , Colvin y sus amigas ( terminar ) clase temprano .
" Caminamos hacia el centro y ( ver ) el autobús , así que ( decidir ) subirnos . El problema ( surgir ) cuando todos los puestos del autobús estaban ocupados .
El conductor quería que Claudette y sus amigas se levantaran y viajaran de pie en el fondo , de manera tal que una pasajera blanca se pudiera sentar .
Tres de las estudiantes ( levantarse ) a regañadientes y yo ( permanecer ) sentada junto a la ventana " , recuerda .
Colvin le ( decir ) al conductor que había pagado por su ticket y que era su derecho constitucional quedarse sentada .
El conductor ( continuar ) su ruta hasta que se ( detener ) en un cruce donde había una patrulla policial .
Colvin ( ser ) la primera persona en ser arrestada por desafiar las políticas segregacionistas de los autobuses de Montgomery .
