Iman is an Arabic word, it means Faith.

Faith means complete trust in someone.

  •  If you have faith in someone, you believe in him with all your heart, and you do not have any doubt about it
  •  The opposite of trust is doubt

The Six Pillars of Faith

Iman is a state in which the heart accepts the truth and lives by it. 

The lips and the tongue declare the truth, and the limbs carry out what is required of the truth . 

  • for example: You believe that Allah is The One and Only God (You declare it with you tongue) and you only pray and ask from Allah alone ( We use our limbs and body to worship Allah)


Faith (lman) is light. Doubt is darkness.

3. His Books
4. His Messengers
5. The Day of Judgement
6. Divine Destiny - Believe that everything good or bad comes from Allah

  • Believe that Allah is the one and only god

  • Believe that Allah does not eat or drink or sleep

Qoda' refers to Decree which means: Order


Qadar refers to Destiny


Qadar is based on Allah's Qoda' means: 
The destiny is based on Allah's order

Everything is destined and determined by Allah but Allah gives us free will. He allows us to make our own decisions and our own choices . All the choices that we make are within Allah's knowledge.
