Las son que cuentan hechos humanos y por igual , transmitidos a través de las . Esa transmisión se ha dado de manera y escrita dentro de un pueblo o dentro de una región específica .
Las leyendas , a pesar de contener hechos sobrenaturales , y ficticias , son consideradas por algunas personas como creíbles . Esta se intenta conseguir dando a la leyenda un lugar conocido por la población y una posición remota en el tiempo .
Lo importante de esto es que de esa manera creaban escenarios creíbles y situaciones posibles que situaban al en un que resultaba familiar para las personas que iban a el relato a las próximas .
