Life expectancy has increased greatly in the last 100 years . There are several reasons for this . , there has been progress in medicine so that many diseases which killed people previously can now be cured . , our way of life has changed enormously and we have a higher standard of living . , food is more nourishing , work is not so hard and people are more aware of what they eat . a people are living longer and old people need a lot of care . , there won't be enough skilled workers to fill the job of caring for them . the present generation will have to pay for their pensions . In I would like to say that there has been great progress in medicine , there are many problems emerging and politicians will have to find a solution for our ageing society .
