My name was Janet and this was my house . It was a lovely house in the suburbs of London . It had got two floors ? a ground floor and a first floor .
On the ground floor there was the kitchen , the dining room and the living room .
On the second floor there was my bedroom . I shared my bedroom with my sister , Alice . There were also my parents' bedroom , a guest room and the bathroom .
My house had also got a garage where my parents parked the family car , a swimming - pool and a small room where my parents kept some old stuff .
Around the house there was a huge carpet of grass . I loved it because me , my sister and our friends had lots of fun . In the Summer we played hide and sought and then went for a swim !
