beach called there been historical holiday was mysterious out

We went to the city of Cancún in Mexico last year , and one of the highlights of our was a trip to Chichén Itzá - the ancient Mayan city . We had staying in Cancún for a few days before we decided to go there . We had already had a lot of fun on the and in the cafés , but we hadn't seen any sites . We left early on the day of our trip and arrived at Chichén Itzá at about midday . it was an incredible site . I'd known was a big pyramid there , but i hadn't realized it so huge ! There were nearly four hundred steps . By the time we had climbed to the top I was exhausted ! But what an incredible view .
The pyramid is El Castillo , which means " the castle " . I found out that the Mayan people had buildt it thousands of years ago to represent Snake Mountain , wich is a mysterious place in Mayan mythology .
