Have you ever listened to a recording of your own voice and thought , " Do I really sound like that ? ! " We all think we sound a certain way because that's how we our own voices when we speak . The answer lies in the biology of our ears and the physics of how we hear sound . Sound takes the of a wave as it moves through the air , but it also through solid material , such as bone .
