Self-motivation presentationOnline version A little introduction to self motivation by Career Readiness 1 Believe in yourself SELF-MOTIVATION 2 Self-motivation Often when we observe ourselves and analyze our personality, attitudes, tendencies, and when we do the same with our environment, we say that we see the half-empty bottle when we tend to highlight more the failures and negative aspects. However, when we highlight the positive aspects of people more, we say that we see the bottle half full. The way we develop one or another attitude influences the way we have to be and look at the world. How do you see the glass? Half full or half empty? 3 Self-motivation Self-motivation is that ability of emotional intelligence that regulates our emotions, its main objective being to successfully face the different situations to which we are exposed in our daily lives. For this, it articulates all the necessary tools (emotional and rational) to meet the expectations and goals that we set for ourselves. 4 Self-motivation First, let's understand the important role that positive motivation plays on performance. According to the testimonies collected by D. Goleman, all those people who reap long and successful careers have a common denominator: a high positive motivation and a rigorous training and / or study routine. The main difference between those people who go far in their professional / artistic careers and those who do not is, basically, the arduous and persevering practice and effort exerted for years and years. This perseverance depends fundamentally on emotional factors, such as enthusiasm, a positive attitude and tenacity (perseverance) in the face of all kinds of setbacks. 5 Self-motivation Self-motivation is a machinery that is put into operation in a specific situation in which a motive appears that prompts us to act. At that moment, primary emotions arise, both positive and negative, that inhibit or favor said action. It is precisely that moment in which emotional intelligence intervenes, determining through its abilities the way (adequate or not) in which people are able to use their mental capacities.
