¿Que es?

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (Configuración Dinámica de Servidores)

El servidor DHCP permite que cualquier equipo que se conecte  una red pueda obtener su dirección I.P de forma dinámica.

Cuando conectamos un equipo le solicitamos mediante el servicio DHCP que se encuentre la siguiente dirección I.P disponible de manera automática.

¿Para que sirve?

Nos permite administrar de manera simple una red que comienza a ser grande para ser cuidada por un solo administrador del sistema.

 Es útil si entran y salen varios equipos de forma dinámica.

Tipos

MÉTODOS PARA ASIGNAR DIRECCIONES I.P

Método 1

La asignación manual utiliza una tabla de direcciones MAC, únicamente los equipos que cuenten con una dirección MAC definida en esta tabla recibirán un a I.P, asignada en esta misma tabla.

Método 2

La asignación se realiza con las I.Ps disponibles mientras el equipo lo requiera.

Método 3

Se determina un rango de direcciones I.P y cada equipo que se conecta a la red recibe su dirección durante un lapso predeterminado de tiempo, posteriormente, en función del tiempo, que continúan conectados comienzan a recibir una nueva dirección I.P.
