La habilidad de dos o más sistemas o componentes para intercambiar información y utilizar la información intercambiada.

Es la condición que hace que un programa y un sistema, arquitectura o aplicación logren comprenderse correctamente tanto directamente o indirectamente.

Es la propiedad deseable de un sistema, una red o un proceso, que indica su habilidad para reaccionar y adaptarse sin perder calidad, o bien manejar el crecimiento continuo de trabajo de manera fluida, o bien para estar preparado para hacerse más grande sin perder calidad en los servicios ofrecidos.

Se define como la característica que posee un software para ejecutarse en diferentes plataformas, el código fuente del software es capaz de reutilizarse en vez de crearse un nuevo código cuando el software pasa de una plataforma a otra.

Cambio o transformación gradual de algo, como un estado, una circunstancia, una situación, unas ideas, etc.
