Simple past

Para formar el pasado simple con verbos regulares, añadimos la terminación "-ed" al verbo. La forma es la misma para todas las personas (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).

Work--->Worked    Invited--->invited   Study--->Studied    Stop--> Stopped

 Hay muchos verbos irregulares en inglés. Desafortunadamente, no hay una norma establecida para formarlos. A continuación tienes los tres verbos irregulares más comunes y los que actúan como verbos auxiliares.

Sujeto + Auxiliar de pasado (did) + not + verbo (en forma simble) + complemento

He + did + not + stay*+ home

El verbo * no lo cambiamos a pasado en oraciones negativas. El auxiliar DID cumple la función de cambiar la frase a pasado.

Nota: Los verbos son acciones.
