Hi han dos tipus:

- Qualificatius: Cotxe esportiu

- Gentilicis: Dona Japonesa

Gèneres, singular i plural

Tenen dos gèneres (masculí i femení) i són singular o plural. Tenen una forma concreta per el masculí i el femení, i singular i plural (fred, freda, freds, fredes); també tenen una forma única (un noi amable; una noia amable).

Graus dels adjectius.

- Positiu: Manté la forma estàndard de la paraula. Exemple: Llarg.

- Comparatius:

1. Inferioritat: Juan és més baix que Marc.

2.Igualtat: Juan és igual d'alt que Marc.

3.Superioritat: Juan és més alt que Marc.

- Superlatiu:

1. Inferioritat: Aquest riu és el menys llarg del continent.

2.Superioritat: Aquest riu és el més llarg del continent; Aquest riu és molt llarg.
