Diseño donde se aplican ambos métodos de manera simultánea (los datos cualitativos y cuantitativos se recolectan y analizan más o menos al mismo tiempo).

Se recaban en paralelo y de forma separada, datos cuantitativos y cualitativos.

•El análisis e interpretación de los datos se lleva a cabo por separado, después de ello se realiza la integración (complementación)

En una primera etapa se recolectan y analizan datos cuantitativos o cualitativos, y en una segunda fase se recaban y analizan datos del otro enfoque.
