Introducción a las Vertientes de Colombia

Colombia es un país caracterizado por su diversidad geográfica y climática. Las vertientes hídricas son fundamentales para entender su ecosistema.

Definición de Vertientes

Las vertientes son áreas donde el agua se drena hacia un río o un lago. En Colombia, se dividen en:

  • Vertiente del Caribe
  • Vertiente del Pacífico
  • Vertiente Amazónica
  • Vertiente Orinoco

Vertiente del Caribe

Esta vertiente abarca la región norte del país. Sus características incluyen:

  • Ríos como el Magdalena y el Cauca.
  • Clima cálido y húmedo.
  • Importancia para la economía a través de la navegación.
