Soy un elemento muy abundante en la Tierra, ¡el segundo más común en la corte terrestre!

No me encuentras puro en la naturaleza, pero soy el componente principal de la arena y de la mayoría de las rocas.

Mi número atómico es 14, lo que me sitúa en el Grupo 14 de la Tabla Periódica. Soy un metaloide.

Soy esencial para la tecnología moderna. Se me utiliza para fabricar microchips, paneles solares y otros dispositivos electrónicos.

También me encuentras en materiales como el vidrio, el cemento y la cerámica.
