🟦 Scenario 1: Client Demands Extra Work for Free


Client prompt:

“I need you to create another version with new colors and a social media version. I assume that’s included in the price.”

Freelancer goal:

Politely push back and clarify the scope of work and pricing.

Freelancer support phrases:

  • “I’d be happy to help with that. Just to clarify, the additional version wasn’t included in the original agreement.”
  • “Let me send you a quick quote for the extra work.”
  • “To stay fair to both of us, I’ll need to charge for that revision.”

🟦 Scenario 2: Client is Unhappy with a Design


Client prompt:

“This doesn’t look anything like what I wanted. I don’t think you listened to me at all.”

Freelancer goal:

Stay calm, ask specific questions, and find out what’s wrong.

Freelancer support phrases:

  • “Thanks for your feedback. Can I ask which part specifically didn’t match your expectations?”
  • “During our last call, you mentioned preferring a clean look—did you want to go in a different direction?”
