Teoría

El tiempo presente en inglés se usa para expresar acciones que suceden en el momento actual, hábitos, rutinas y hechos generales. Existen principalmente dos formas importantes: el Present Simple y el Present Continuous.


En esta sesión nos concentramos en el Present Simple.

El Present Simple se utiliza para hablar de acciones habituales, hechos generales o verdades universales. Por ejemplo: I study every day (Yo estudio todos los días). Para formar este tiempo verbal, se usa la forma base del verbo (To eat -> I eat, you eat). En tercera persona singular (he, she, it) se añade una -s, como en She eats a fruit (Ella come una fruta).


Ejemplo:

  • I eat → Yo como
  • You eat → Tú comes
  • He eats → Él come
  • She eats → Ella come
  • It eats → (Eso) come (Para animales o cosas.)
  • We eat → Nos. comemos
  • You eat → Ustedes comen
  • They eat → Ellos comen
