The story starts with a small, tiny egg on a leaf. From this egg, a little caterpillar hatches, ready to eat and grow.

Eating Begins

The caterpillar starts to eat a lot of different foods. It eats through fruits like apples, pears, and plums to satisfy its hunger.

The Caterpillar Grows

As it eats, the caterpillar gets bigger and bigger. It sheds its skin several times to accommodate its growing body.

Eating Different Foods

The caterpillar eats a variety of foods, including strawberries, oranges, and even a slice of cake! It becomes very full and satisfied.

Feeling Full

After eating a lot, the caterpillar feels full and sleepy. It prepares for its next stage of transformation.

The Cocoon Stage

The caterpillar forms a cocoon around itself, called a chrysalis. Inside, it begins to change into a butterfly.

Inside the cocoon, the caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly. This process is called metamorphosis.

The butterfly comes out of the cocoon, spreads its wings, and prepares to fly. It has completed its amazing journey of growth.
