Las potencias muestran cuántas veces se multiplica una base. En estas leyes, a es la base y m el exponente. Aprenderás a simplificar expresiones con potencias.

Producto de potencias con la misma base

Producto de potencias con la misma base: a^m · a^n = a^(m+n). Sumas de exponentes al mismo base, manteniendo la base constante.

Cociente de potencias con la misma base

Cociente de potencias con la misma base: a^m / a^n = a^(m-n). Resta de exponentes manteniendo la base.

Potencia de una potencia

Potencia de una potencia: (a^m)^n = a^(m·n). Multiplicamos exponentes al elevar una potencia a otra.

Potencia de un producto: (ab)^n = a^n · b^n. Distribuimos la potencia a cada factor del producto.

Exponente negativo: a^(-n) = 1 / a^n. Representa la inversión de la cantidad y evita fracciones repetidas.

Exponente cero: a^0 = 1 (a ≠ 0). Cualquier base no nula elevada a cero da uno.

Propiedad con -1: (-a)^n = (-1)^n · a^n. El signo depende del paridad del exponente.
