Explore tissue types and roles.

1

Epithelial Tissue

Epithelial tissue lines organs and skin surfaces. It protects, absorbs nutrients, secretes substances, and senses changes. Arranged in sheets with tight cell junctions.

2

Connective Tissue

Connective tissue supports and binds other tissues. It includes cells, fibers, and a liquid matrix. Examples: loose, dense, adipose, cartilage, bone, and blood.

3

Muscle Tissue

Muscle tissue enables movement. It contracts to produce force and heat. Three types: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac, each with unique structure.

4

Nervous Tissue

Nervous tissue transmits signals. Neurons send electrical impulses while glial cells support, nourish, and protect neurons for fast communication.
