En esta lección exploramos el concepto de área para figuras irregulares, usando descomposición y superposición de imágenes.

Paso 1: Observa la figura

Identifica las partes que se pueden separar en figuras simples (rectángulos, triángulos, trapecios) para facilitar el cálculo.

Paso 2: Descomposición

Divide la figura irregular en figuras simples que no se superpongan, asegurando que juntas cubran toda el área.

Paso 3: Áreas de rectángulos

Calcula el área de cada rectángulo como base × altura. Anota cada resultado para sumarlos después.

Paso 4: Áreas de triángulos

Para triángulos, utiliza base × altura ÷ 2. Revisa que la altura sea perpendicular a la base.

Paso 5: Áreas de otros triángulos

Triángulos oblicuos o con inclinación pueden requerir dividir más o usar la regla de área equivalente.

Paso 6: Suma de áreas

Une las áreas de todas las partes: área total = suma de las áreas de cada figura simple.

Revisa que no haya huecos ni solapamientos en la descomposición para confirmar la exactitud del resultado.
