Sumas usan el símbolo +,

leemos “más” o “suma”.

Restas usan el símbolo -,

leemos “menos” o “resta”.

Regla básica sin llevar

En sumas sin llevar, cada columna suma sin pasar a la de la izquierda.

Ejemplo: 23 + 14 = 37, sin que ningún dígito supere 9 en la suma de columnas.
