Introducción a la fotosíntesis

La fotosíntesis es el proceso por el cual las plantas convierten la luz solar en energía química, almacenada en moléculas de glucosa.

La clorofila y la luz

La clorofila, pigmento verde, captura la luz y facilita la conversión de energía en las hojas.

En términos simples, la ecuación dice: CO₂ + H₂O + luz → C₆H₁₂O₆ + O₂, con oxígeno liberado como subproducto.

Las reacciones de la fase luminosa capturan luz y generan ATP y NADPH, energías para la síntesis.
