Origem

O trovadorismo teve sua origem na coroa portuguesa e as obras literárias são escritas somente por pessoas da corte, retratando as diferentes classes sociais com histórias de amor com final feliz ou não.

Estrutura textual

A estrutura das obras literárias são em forma de música porque na época reproduziam as obras com instrumentos musicais e sempre em forma de poesia com métrica e o idioma galego português.

Cantiga lírica: cantiga de amor

A cantiga lírica de amor tem como base o homem como personagem principal das cantigas e a sua procura por esse amor impossível. Esse amor impossível é representado por uma idealização feminina ou perfeição de mulher.

Cantiga lírica: cantiga de amigo

As cantigas de amigo tem como base uma mulher a procura de um amigo/namorado em uma época medieval com segregação de classes sociais.

Cantiga satírica: cantiga de escárnio

As cantigas de escárnio são uma forma de crítica social indireta e por mensagens subliminares, que representavam toda a estrutura social da época medieval.

As cantigas de maldizer são críticas sociais diretas e revolucionárias, diferente da imposição severa da época medieval.
