Teoría

Hoy aprendemos en Helicoingles la palabra “would”.


La palabra “would” se usa en inglés para expresar lo que en español decimos con la terminación “-ría”, como haría, iría, diría, enviaría, etc. Sirve para hablar de acciones hipotéticas, deseos o situaciones que no son reales, sino posibles o imaginarias.


La forma de construirlo es muy sencilla:

👉 would + verbo en forma base

Ejemplos:

  • I go → yo voy
  • I would go → yo iría
  • We send → nosotros enviamos
  • We would send → nosotros enviaríamos


El verbo no cambia, solo se antepone would.

También se usa para expresar cortesía o deseos:

  • I would like a coffee → me gustaría un café.
  • He would travel if he had time → él viajaría si tuviera tiempo.



En resumen:

👉 “would” equivale a la terminación “-ría” en español y se usa para hablar de acciones condicionales, deseos o situaciones imaginarias.
