Divisões do Esqueleto

O esqueleto humano é dividido em duas partes principais: 

  • Esqueleto Axial: Compõe o eixo central do corpo. Inclui os ossos da cabeça (crânio), pescoço (vértebras cervicais) e tronco (coluna vertebral, costelas e esterno).
  • Esqueleto Apendicular: É formado pelos ossos dos membros superiores e inferiores, bem como pelas cinturas que os conectam ao esqueleto axial (cintura escapular - escápula e clavícula; e cintura pélvica - ossos da pelve). 

Principais Ossos

Alguns dos principais ossos do corpo humano incluem:

  • Crânio: Protege o cérebro.
  • Coluna Vertebral: Formada por vértebras (cervicais, torácicas, lombares, sacro e cóccix) que suportam o peso do corpo e protegem a medula espinhal.
  • Costelas e Esterno: Formam a caixa torácica, protegendo o coração e os pulmões.
  • Fémur: O osso mais longo e forte do corpo, localizado na coxa.
  • Úmero: Osso do braço.
  • Tíbia e Fíbula: Ossos da perna.
  • Rádio e Ulna: Ossos do antebraço.
  • Patela: Osso sesamoide localizado no joelho.
