Introduction to French Colors

Welcome to Color Quest! Learn common French color names, how to pronounce them, and how to use them in simple sentences.

Rouge (Red)

Rouge means red in French. Pronounce like roozh. Example: La pomme est rouge — The apple is red.

Bleu (Blue)

Bleu means blue. Pronounce bluh. Example: Le ciel est bleu — The sky is blue.

Vert means green. Pronounce ver. Example: L’herbe est verte — The grass is green.

Jaune (Yellow)

Jaune means yellow. Pronounce zhon. Example: Le soleil est jaune — The sun is yellow.
