Introduction to the Human Body

The human body is a amazing machine built from many parts. In this lesson, we explore major body parts and their basic roles.

The Head

Head houses the brain and sensory organs. It includes eyes, ears, nose, and mouth for sensing and communication.

Torso

The torso connects head and limbs. It contains the chest, abdomen, and back, with ribs and the spine protecting vital organs.

Arms and Hands

Arms include the upper arm and forearm. At the end are the hands and fingers for gripping and precise movements.

Legs and Feet

Legs provide support and mobility. They feature the thigh, knee, and lower leg, ending in feet and toes.

Internal Organs

The heart pumps blood, the lungs exchange air, and the stomach and liver aid digestion and metabolism. Kidneys filter wastes.

Skeletal System

The skeleton provides structure. It is made of bones, joints, and cartilage for support and movement.

Muscular System

Muscles power movement and posture. They work with tendons that connect muscles to bones, enabling contraction and locomotion.

Senses

Senses collect information from the world: sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.
