The Magnificent Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is arguably the most famous landmark in Paris, France. This tall iron lattice tower stands proudly on the green Champ de Mars park. It was originally built for the 1889 World's Fair and was, at the time, the tallest man-made structure in the entire world.


The tower itself is an impressive piece of metal architecture, weighing approximately 10,100 tons. It is usually painted a distinctive shade of brownish-gray, but the lighting at night makes it look golden and brilliant. Although it looks massive from below, the iron construction is surprisingly intricate and delicate.


Tourists agree that the view from the highest observation deck is absolutely breathtaking. The surrounding area is a popular and busy spot for picnics, especially during the warm summer evenings. The tower remains a powerful symbol of modern French engineering and cultural heritage, making it an essential stop for every visitor.
