Introducción a los números primos

Los números primos son aquellos enteros mayores que 1 que solo tienen dos divisores: 1 y sí mismos. Son los ladrillos básicos de los números enteros.

Propiedad clave

Un número primo solo puede dividirse exactamente por 1 y por sí mismo. Cualquier otro divisor lo convierte en número compuesto.

Números compuestos

Los números compuestos tienen más de dos divisores. Ejemplos: 4, 6, 9, 12. Cada uno puede descomponerse en factores primos.

Primos pequeños

Primos entre 2 y 20: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19. Son fundamentales para pruebas de primalidad y factorización.

El único primo par

El número 2 es primo y es el único primo par. Todo primo mayor que 2 es impar.

Pruebas rápidas

Para primos > 10, pueden finalizar en 1, 3, 7 o 9, y deben evitar ser divisibles por 2 o 5. Esto acelera descartes.

Pruebas de divisibilidad

A partir de los primos 2, 3, 5, 7, puedes verificar si un número es primo comprobando divisibilidad por estos menores antes de seguir.
