Introducción a la Neuroanatomía

La neuroanatomía estudia la estructura del sistema nervioso: cerebro, cerebelo, tronco encefálico, médula espinal y sus conexiones. Incluye regiones, vías y funciones.

Sistema nervioso central

Sistema nervioso central (SNC) incluye cerebro, cerebelo y tronco encefálico; protege, procesa información y coordina respuestas corporales.

Sistema nervioso periférico

Sistema nervioso periférico (SNP) conecta el SNC con órganos; nervios craneales y espinales, ganglios y fibras sensoriales y motoras.

Neuronas

Neuronas: células básicas del SNC que reciben, procesan y transmiten señales mediante potenciales de acción y sinapsis excitatorias o inhibidoras.

Glía

Glía: células de apoyo. Astroglía, oligodendrocitos y microglía sostienen, rodean y protegen neuronas, forman mielina y mantienen la homeostasis.

Corteza cerebral

Corteza cerebral: estructuras en capas y áreas funcionales. Lóbulos frontal, parietal, temporal y occipital realizan pensamiento, sensorio y lenguaje.

Lóbulos cerebrales

Lóbulos cerebrales: frontal (ejecución, razonamiento), parietal (somatosensorial), temporal (auditivo, memoria) y occipital (visión).

Vías y sistemas

Vías y sistemas: aferentes y eferentes. Vías ascendentes llevan información sensorial; descendentes controlan movimiento voluntario.
