Teoría

En inglés existen dos verbos diferentes, do y make, que equivalen al verbo castellano “hacer”.


Aunque existen algunas excepciones, la regla general para su uso correcto es la siguiente:

  • Make se utiliza cuando se quiere expresar la idea de crear, fabricar o producir algo, es decir, cuando el resultado es algo tangible o un producto final.
  • Do se emplea cuando se hace referencia a acciones, actividades o tareas inmateriales, es decir, cuando no se crea un objeto físico.


Mediante el estudio de las frases que se presentan a continuación, podrá comprender mejor cuándo debe usarse make y cuándo do, y así adquirir una idea clara de su correcto empleo en inglés.
