In fashion, a tech pack links design to production, consolidating specifications, materials, and instructions to guide manufacturers. Building a strong vocabulary speeds collaboration and reduces errors.

Tech pack is a document set including sketches, measurements, materials, and trims. It communicates all requirements from design to manufacturing, ensuring accurate production and consistency.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

Bill of Materials (BOM) lists every component required to produce a product—fabrics, trims, labels, hardware, and packaging—with quantities and specs for sourcing and assembly.

Specifications (Specs) Sheet

Specifications or specs sheet records critical product details: dimensions, tolerances, stitching, finishes, and acceptance criteria used by production teams.

Fabric Content and Construction

Fabric content notes fiber mix, weight, drape, and care. Construction describes weave or knit, seam types, and garment assembly requirements.
