Introducción

Los operadores aritméticos permiten realizar sumar, restar, multiplicar y dividir. También se aplican en expresiones más complejas para calcular resultados.

Suma

La suma se representa con el signo + y une cantidades para obtener un total. Es la operación de combinación básica.

Resta

La resta emplea - para quitar una cantidad de otra, alcanzando una diferencia.

Multiplicación

La multiplicación usa * o la repetición de una cantidad, dando producto.

División

La división con / separa un total en partes iguales, entregando cociente.

Módulo

El operador módulo % devuelve el resto de una división entre enteros.

Parentesis y precedencia

Los paréntesis permiten priorizar operaciones; la jerarquía típica es *, /, +, -.

División entera

La división entre enteros puede generar cociente entero si el lenguaje lo especifica.

Orden de operaciones

En expresiones largas se aplican paréntesis, luego multiplicación y división, después suma y resta.

Ejemplos prácticos

Ejemplo: 6 + 4 * 2 = 14; (6 + 4) * 2 = 20.
