Introducción al Sistema Solar

El sistema solar es la colección de cuerpos que orbitan alrededor del Sol, desde planetas y lunas hasta asteroides y cometas.

El Sol

El Sol es una estrella en el centro del sistema, que concentra la mayor parte de la materia y emite energía que mantiene todo en órbita.

Mercurio

Mercurio, el planeta más cercano al Sol, es pequeño y rocoso. Tiene días largos y temperaturas extremas entre el día y la noche.

Venus

Venus es similar en tamaño a la Tierra pero con atmósfera densa y caliente. Su rotación es retrógrada y muy lenta.

Tierra

La Tierra azul tiene agua líquida, atmósfera rica en nitrógeno y oxígeno, y una gran diversidad de vida y paisajes.

Marte

Marte, el "planeta rojo", posee hielo polar, ríos secos y un valle enorme llamado Valles Marineris. Su atmósfera es muy fina.

Júpiter y Saturno

Júpiter y Saturno son gigantes gaseosos con numerosas lunas y cinturones de tormentas. Gran Mancha Roja en Júpiter es una huella famosa.

Urano y Neptuno

Urano y Neptuno son gigantes helados, conocidos por sus anillos y atmósferas ricas en hidrocarburos. Sus órbitas son muy diferentes a la de la Tierra.
