Imagina entrar a una habitación nueva. Queremos describir cosas, pero no sabemos cómo empezar. Vamos a aprender paso a paso.

There is se usa cuando hay UNA sola cosa. Fácil y claro para empezar a describir objetos.

Ejemplos en inglés

There is a chair. Hay una silla. There is a desk. Hay un escritorio. Traducción: Hay una silla, hay un escritorio.

There are se usa cuando hay DOS o más cosas. Podemos practicar con recuentos simples.

There are four chairs. Hay cuatro sillas. There are two windows. Hay dos ventanas. Traducción: Hay cuatro sillas, hay dos ventanas.

Se puede usar two, three, four y más para contar. Singular/plural depende del objeto descrito.

There is not / There isn’t para una cosa. There are not / There aren’t para varias.
