lurra, Eguzki Sistemako planeta guztiek bezala, bere ardatzaren inguruan biratzen da eta baita ere eguzkiaren inguruan ere. Errotazio eta traslazio mugimenduak dira urrenez-urren.

ERROTAZIO MUGIMENDUA

Lurrak bere errotazio ardatzaren inguruan egiten duen mugimenduari esaten zaio errotazio mugimendua.

Errotazio ardatza Lurrak ipar polotik hego polora zeharlkatzen duen alegiazko lerro bat da. Itzuli osoa emateko, Lurrak 24 ordu behar ditu (egun bat)

Lurraren errotazio mugimenduak sortzen ditu eguna eta gaua.

Lurrak bere aradatzren inguruan bira ematen duenean, alde batek ez du jasotzen Eguzkiaren ez argirik ezta berorik ere. Alde horretan gaua dela esaten dugu.
