Un árbol de problemas representa causas y efectos de una problemática social. Sirve para entender por qué sucede y qué agrava la situación.

2. Problema social vs. síntomas

Distinguimos entre el problema central y sus síntomas. Los síntomas son señales; el problema es la raíz que debemos abordar.

3. Objetivo del ejercicio

Conocer relaciones causa-efecto, priorizar acciones y orientar intervenciones basadas en evidencia para mejorar la realidad social.

4. Pasos para construir el árbol

1) Definir el problema central. 2) Identificar causas y efectos. 3) Ordenar de causalidad. 4) Verificar con datos y voces locales.

5. Causas: inmediatas y raíz

Separar causas inmediatas (presentes) de causas raíz (profundas, estructurales) para intervenciones efectivas.

6. Efectos y consecuencias

Identificar efectos a corto y largo plazo. Preguntar: ¿quiénes se ven afectados y cómo cambia la situación a futuro?

7. Recopilación de datos

Usa fuentes variadas: estadísticas, testimonios y observación. La evidencia valida las relaciones en el árbol.

9. Ejemplo breve

Problema: nivel de pobreza infantil. Causas: falta de empleo, bajos ingresos; efectos: desnutrición, bajas oportunidades.

Con los resultados, diseña soluciones prioritarias, asigna responsables y define indicadores para seguimiento y mejora.
