Las fibras textiles son filamentos largos y delgados que, al combinarse, forman hilos. Se clasifican por origen, tipo y uso en prendas y textiles para el hogar.

Las fibras naturales proceden de plantas o animales. Ejemplos: algodón, lana, lino. Presentan comodidad, biodegradabilidad y variabilidad según el clima y la cría.
