En una ciudad, la población se divide en tres grupos: niños, adultos y mayores. El número de adultos es el doble de la suma de niños y mayores. Si hay un total de 1200 personas, ¿cuántos adultos hay?

Pistas

Si llamamos N a los niños y M a los mayores, entonces A = 2(N+M) y N+M+A = 1200. Sustituyendo A obtienes 3(N+M)=1200, por lo que N+M=400 y A=800.

Expresa la cantidad de adultos en función de niños y mayores.

Piensa en las partes que componen la población y su total.

En una clase, las edades de 6 estudiantes son: 8, 9, 10, 9, 8 y 10 años. ¿Qué valor representa la media (promedio) de las edades?
