Apa itu Lingkaran?

Lingkaran adalah himpunan titik-titik yang memiliki jarak tetap dari sebuah titik pusat. Jarak itu disebut jari-jari. Semua titik melingkari dengan simetri sempurna.

Titik Pusat, Jari-jari, Diameter

Titik pusat adalah pusat lingkaran. Jari-jari (r) adalah jarak dari pusat ke tepi. Diameter (d) adalah dua jari-jari, d = 2r, sepanjang lingkaran.

Jari-jari vs Diameter

Perbandingan umum: diameter sama dengan dua kali jari-jari (d = 2r). Jari-jari tetap untuk satu lingkaran yang sama.

Keliling Lingkaran

Keliling C adalah jarak keliling lingkaran. Rumus umum: C = 2πr = πd. Gunakan π ≈ 3,14 untuk perhitungan praktis.

Luas Lingkaran

Luas A lingkaran dihitung dengan A = πr^2. Semakin besar jari-jari, luas bertambah kuadrat terhadap r.

Rasio dan Pi

Pi adalah rasio keliling terhadap diameter pada lingkaran. Nilainya tak berhingga. Mendekati 3,14 atau 22/7 untuk perhitungan sederhana.

Contoh Hitung Jari-Jari

Jika keliling C = 31,4 cm, maka r = C/(2π) ≈ 31,4/(2×3,14) ≈ 5 cm. Sederhana namun penting.

Contoh Hitung Luas

Jika r = 5 cm, maka luas A = πr^2 ≈ 3,14×25 ≈ 78,5 cm². Perhatikan satuan area.
