1. ¿Qué es el clima?

El clima es el conjunto de condiciones atmosféricas promediadas en un periodo amplio, como décadas, en un lugar determinado.

El tiempo es inmediato y cambia cada día, mientras que el clima describe patrones a largo plazo en una región.

3. Factores del clima

La latitud, la altitud, la distancia al mar, y las corrientes oceánicas influyen en el clima regional.

4. Zonas climáticas

Existen zonas tropicales, templadas y frías. Cada una tiene temperaturas, lluvias y estaciones características distintas.

5. El efecto invernadero

Gases como CO2 retienen calor. Este proceso mantiene la Tierra habitable, pero el exceso calienta el planeta.

6. Instrumentos de medición

Se usan termómetros, pluviómetros y satélites para registrar temperaturas, precipitaciones y otros indicadores climáticos con precisión.

Entre ellos están la temperatura media, la humedad, la precipitación y las variaciones estacionales observadas a largo plazo.

El clima extremo afecta cultivos, infraestructuras y salud; comunidades vulnerables enfrentan mayores riesgos ante cambios climáticos.
