El Día del Pez honra la diversidad de peces y su papel en los ecosistemas acuáticos. ¿Sabías cuántas especies existen y dónde viven?

Qué es un pez

Los peces son vertebrados que respiran principalmente con branquias, viven en el agua y tienen aletas para nadar y equilibrarse.

Tipos de peces

Existen peces óseos y peces cartilaginosos. Cada grupo tiene características únicas, como estructuras del esqueleto y patrones de reproducción.

Hábitats de los peces

Viven en ríos, lagos y mares; algunos especies se adaptan a aguas frías, templadas o salobres, mostrando gran diversidad.

Alimentación

Los peces pueden ser herbívoros, carnívoros u omnívoros. Su dieta depende del hábitat y de la especie que los consume.

Importancia ecológica

Forman parte de la cadena alimentaria, reciclan nutrientes y ayudan a mantener la salud de los ecosistemas acuáticos.
