A Rainy Holiday (Traveler)

You booked a 5-day vacation to a tropical island. You imagined sunny beaches, outdoor activities and a sunny weather, but :

  3. You spent most of your time indoors
  4. You feel like you wasted your money

You realize:

  • You didn’t check the weather forecast
  • The travel agent never mentioned anything about the rainy season.

During the trip, you call the agency to complain about your stay and demand compensation. For your complaints, try to use conditional statements like: If you had told me about the weather, I would be in a different place right now!

The Hotel was Awful! (Traveler)

You booked a hotel recommended by the agency, they even showed you some photos and the place did look amazing. However, when you got there you found out that:

  1. The room was dirty and noisy
  2. The photos online were misleading
  3. The location was rather inconvenient (No shops around, no metro stations around...)
  4. You couldn’t sleep well during your trip because of the bedbugs.
  5. The room was infested with roaches.

You realize:

  • You didn’t read online reviews
  • You trusted the agent’s recommendation completely

During your stay, you call the agency to demand an explanation and a compensation for all the trouble you went through. For your complaints, try to use some conditional sentences like If I had read the reviews, I wouldn’t be in a such horrible place now, If you had been honest, I would be spending my money at a different hotel!

4

Your client is really unhappy with the hotel you recommended.

You know :

  • The hotel is usually well-rated, but not perfect
  • The client chose a budget option
  • There were better hotels available at a higher price

In order to handle the situation you should:

  • Defend your recommendation
