Materiales: Usaban sobre todo grandes bloques de piedra (sillares). Sus edificios son pesados y robustos.

Usaban materiales más pobres como el ladrillo, el yeso y la madera. ¡Pero luego lo tapaban con adornos tan bonitos que no se notaba

El más famoso es el arco de herradura (que se cierra un poquito por abajo, como la pata de un caballo) y los arcos con muchas curvitas (lobulados).

Usaban el arco de medio punto (redondo) o el apuntado (con pico arriba).

Su religión no les permitía dibujar personas ni animales. Por eso decoraban con formas geométricas, flores y letras árabes preciosas. También usaban muchísimos azulejos de colores.

Decoraban con esculturas de personas (santos, reyes, animales fantásticos). Querían contar historias de la Biblia.

Las iglesias y monasterios son lugares de recogimiento, con patios de piedra (claustros).

¡Les encantaba el agua! Sus palacios (como la Alhambra) están llenos de fuentes, canales y jardines para que el lugar fuera fresco y oliera bien
