Slide 1 — Welcome

Welcome to Easy French for Beginners. In this lesson, you’ll learn greetings, basic pronunciation, and essential phrases to start conversations confidently.

Slide 2 — Greetings

  1. Bonjour (Hello) during the day
  2. Bonsoir (Good evening) after around 6 Pm
  3. Salut
  4. Pronounciation bon-zhoor, bon-swahr, sah-loo.

Slide 3 — Introducing Yourself

To introduce yourself, say: Je m’appelle … (My name is …). Ask others: Comment vous appelez-vous ? (What’s your name?). Respond simply: Enchanté(e).

Slide 4 — Polite Phrases

Polite phrases to know: s’il vous plaît (please), merci (thank you), excusez-moi / pardon (excuse me). Use them regularly in conversations.

Members of your family:

  1. la soeur = the sister
  2. le frère = the brother
  3. la maman/mere = the mum/mother
  4. le papa/pere= the dad / father
  5. la grandmere = the grandma
  6. le grandpere = the grandpa
  7. la tante = the aunt

  1. Count from one to ten in French:
  2. un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix.


  1. Practice by spelling out simple quantities.

  3. deux vaches = two cows
  4. trois filles = three girls
  5. quatre mois = four months
  6. cinq minutes = five minutes

  8. sept balles = seven cats

Colors to know:
