Hints

Reduce the fraction 8/12 to simplest form to get 2/3.

Add the pieces eaten: 5 + 3 = 8.

Think in twelfths to compare pieces.

If a pizza is divided into 8 equal slices and you eat 6, what fraction of the pizza is left?

Hints

Simplify the remaining slices 2/8 by dividing numerator and denominator by 2 to get 1/4.

Count how many slices are left and compare to the total number of slices.
