Concern over a friend

You got a dear friend who spends way too much time chatting with an AI character created with chatgpt. Your friend starts drifting apart from the group and doesn't hang out with you as often as before. When the others try to talk your friend into cutting that out , it usually ends up in a argument.


How you would tackle this? Would you just brush it off and let them be or find a way to approach your friend to talk about it?
