I live on the label with P and 100. A price drops from 80 to 60. What percent is the drop, relative to the original price?

Hints

Here, the change is 80 − 60 = 20, and the original price is 80, so 20/80 = 0.25, which is 25%.

Use the formula: Percent off = (change in price / original price) × 100.

Think in terms of what portion the decrease is of the original amount.
